SBA District Director Presents Funding; Dollars to Support Loans in Ten Northwestern Counties
Spooner, WI – Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NWRPC) has become the U.S. Small Business Administration’s eighth micro-lender in Wisconsin. They will provide business assistance and lending services in Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Washburn Counties.
"Northwest Regional Planning Commission’s new capability as an SBA micro-lender will bring significant additional loan dollars to Northwestern Wisconsin startups and existing businesses,” says Eric Ness, the SBA’s Wisconsin District Director. “This SBA designation adds another resource to our capacity for economic development,” adds Myron Schuster, NWRPC’s Executive Director.
NWRPC provides a variety of community and regional services focusing on economic, community and business development, transportation, land use, coastal and environmental resources for ten Wisconsin counties and five tribal nations.
