NW Cleansweep will be collecting lead tackle again this year. We will be accepting tackle containing lead jig heads, split shot and weights. There is a nominal charge for items such as fluorescent and high-density light bulbs, and oil filters. Businesses and farmers are also encouraged to participate in these summer events. Agricultural/farm related products are free of charge for the first 200 lbs. to farmers, with a nominal fee imposed for businesses. Registration is required for both businesses and farmers by contacting Jen by Email or at 715-635-2197. Materials are collected via scheduled events held during the spring, summer, and fall throughout the ten-county region. Once materials are collected, they are transported to the Cleansweep hazardous waste treatment facility in Spooner where they are further segregated and packaged for ultimate delivery to a licensed hazardous waste contractor.
