NWRPC Presents on Proposed Pre-Mining Socio-Economic Analysis for a Mine in the Penokee Hills

Jason Laumann, NWRPC Senior Planner/Lake Superior Coastal Specialist gave a presentation at the Iron County Citizen’s Forum meeting on Thursday, July 24th, 2013 at the Oma Town Hall regarding a pre-mining socio-economic analysis.

NWRPC is proposing the development of an unbiased study which would examine the socio-economic impacts of a mine on economic development, transportation infrastructure, public schools, utilities and energy, government services, aesthetics, land use, and recreation and tourism.
